PS Cafe: Late Night Pizza

Clair got home late on Thursday after spending some days in Bangkok for work. We were looking forward to catching up over drinks on our balcony, which is our weekend routine. By the time we got around to dinner it was pretty darn late.

We decided to head for PS Cafe on Martin Road. Its alfresco seating sits right by the road with lush planters separating public pavement and the restaurant. We prefer to sit outside in the warm Singapore air. But PS Cafe’s outdoor seating closes by 10pm so we headed indoors instead.

As we waited for someone to take our orders, many of the waiters walked past our table but never once looked upĀ  or even acknowledged us with a nod. We waited for a while then Scott ordered a winter salami pizza, and Clair a fennel sausage.

Rosso Vino: Dinner with the In-laws

Tonight we hosted Clair’s parents visiting us from Malaysia. Many years ago their family agreed that Clair’s dad would never eat tomatoes. Scott always had his suspicions. Pizza is, after all, a culturally universal food. And, sure enough, once a fantastic pizza passed Clair’s father’s lips he was a convert. I don’t think that Rosso Vino would have been able to convert him. Let’s get into that.

Pizza Art: Our First Review

Pizza Art is our go-to restaurant for never-fail delicious pizza. It is located in an unassuming riverside storefront just west of the Pulau Saigon Bridge (Saiboo St.) Although its address is properly Rodyk St., its a pleasant three minute walk from the Robertson Quay taxi drop-off next to the Intercontinental Hotel.

This past weekend Clair ordered the Diavola and Clair ordered the Parma & Rucola.
